We’re Expanding! Store Three Is On Its Way…

We’ve come a long way since starting our journey well over twenty years ago, operating out of a warehouse.  Since then we’ve grown and evolved into two thriving and successful stores we’re really proud of.  During this growth we’ve always tried to stay true to our mission, offering the best organic and local produce to our customers, as well as supporting the fantastic network of growers and producers providing us all with quality goods.Organic Food Festival (11th September 2010) Founder Phil says “We are inspired, simply, by a love of real food, and a desire to be part of the solution to global and local crises in farming and health. We believe everyone has the right to good quality, chemical-free, healthy food; and that organic food production is the best way forward, for people and planet. “We take our position of being a connection between farmers and consumers seriously, we want to share the great successes and challenges of the organic market and help customers make autonomous decisions.” 3911_C03_Boulevard_Final_A4We’re excited to be at a point where we are ready to grow again.  With an opportunity to join the new development at Wapping Wharf, we’ll be opening a third store as part of a hub of indie retailers in Bristol’s harbourside.  We’ve been working with Triodos Bank – who we bank with – to raise the capital to develop this new shop and café, continuing our efforts to really make a difference in our food economy. We love the work we do and are keen to continue celebrating the positive progress in our local food systems.  It is so important to keep this work alive and rolling into the future, so that more and more people can benefit from local food security, access to organic food and being part of a vibrant food community. The food community in Bristol is so important to us, which is why you too can be part of this new chapter, helping us make organic food more accessible to the people of Bristol, and supporting dozens of farmers, producers and artisans working hard to make organic and sustainable goods, many of whom are based within just 50 miles of Bristol.  We released a bond offer, promoted by Triodos Bank, for the community to be involved in this journey.  The target amount we had hoped to raise has now been reached; we are so excited and pleased with the response.  If you missed out on the offer, stay tuned so that we can all celebrate together at the launch!
