About

St Mungo’s vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions. As a homelessness charity and housing association our clients are at the heart of what we do. We provide a bed and support to more than 2,600 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and work to end homelessness and rebuild lives.

We have over 22 projects across Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset; from mental health support, support in the community, rough sleeping outreach, nigh shelters for the homeless, recovery college, women’s services and assertive contact engagement (ACE). For more information on our Bristol Services and St Mungo’s please visit our website.

Better Community

Our fundraising campaign – Off the Streets, Into the Kitchen – will raise money to fund a training course for clients at St. Mungo’s Bristol Recovery College to gain cookery and food service skills, and reinvigorate the college’s kitchen. The course, which will be run by Square Food Foundation, aims to teach clients new skills and build confidence, whilst empowering them to find their own route to recovery. Last year, Better Food hosted the Better Community Feast, a waste food feast at our St. Werburghs store that raised more than £450 for St. Mungo’s Bristol. We were joined on the night by Matt and Becky from the St. Mungo’s; you can read more about their work in Bristol in Becky’s blog here www.betterfood.co.uk/stmungo-tackling-bristol-homelessness/
