St Mungo’s vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions. As a homelessness charity and housing association our clients are at the heart of what we do. We provide a bed and support to more than 2,600 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and work to end homelessness and rebuild lives.
We have over 22 projects across Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset; from mental health support, support in the community, rough sleeping outreach, nigh shelters for the homeless, recovery college, women’s services and assertive contact engagement (ACE). For more information on our Bristol Services and St Mungo’s please visit our website.
In September 2016, Better Food hosted the Better Community Feast, a waste food feast at our St. Werburghs store that raised more than £450 for St. Mungo’s Bristol. We were joined on the night by Matt and Becky from the St. Mungo’s; you can read more about their work in Bristol in Becky’s blog here: www.betterfood.co.uk/stmungo-tackling-bristol-homelessness/
