Lou’s Free-From Christmas Feast

Cooking the Christmas Feast can be a daunting task, especially if you and your guests have varying dietary requests.  Suddenly it’s not just a Sunday Dinner with bells on, it’s the whole kit and caboodle: before you know it, all the appliances are fired up and you’re required to execute your kitchen schedule with military precision.

Kitchen Wizardry

You can take the stress out of Christmas cooking with our specially crafted Festive Three Seed and Lentil Loaf, which everyone can eat and enjoy.  Created and prepared by Lou Marchionne, head nutritionist and kitchen wizard at Better Food, you’ll be pleased to know that the vegan Festive Loaf is the perfect dish for those with dietary sensitivities; as it’s made without gluten and dairy.  It doesn’t stop there either, it’s nut-free, celery-free and sesame-free, so those common Christmas allergens needn’t be a problem.  As Lou says, “It’s a dish that I’ve been thinking about for months.  I was determined to make something delicious that is perfect for vegan, gluten-free and nut-free diets.”

The Flavour Behind The Magic

Packed with delicious green lentils, root vegetables and seeds, you may recognise the flavour of buckwheat, bringing it all together.  The dish is seasoned with fresh herbs, garlic, tamari and fennel, finished by being wrapped in savoy cabbage leaves. Not content with keeping bellies and taste buds happy, your convenience on the day has been catered for too.  The Festive Three Seed and Lentil Loaf is frozen immediately after being made so that all you need to do, is simply defrost, remove the lid, and pop in the oven. This also makes it super easy to take as a dish for others – serving 2 to 3 people* – if you’re heading elsewhere for Christmas.  To get these tasty loaves for yourself, just head over to our website where they’re available to order online.   *Please note, your eyes aren’t tricking you, the photo is not to scale, this loaf is for more for 3 to 4 people.
