Ali Pumfrey and her team intertwines the bold, punchy flavours of the ferments into this menu. Rather than overpowering the palate, these ferments are masterfully integrated to complement each dish, enhancing its depth and complexity. Whether used as a garnish, paired with eggs, incorporated into salads, blended into sauces, or even featured as a fruity accent, the versatility of The Bath Culture House ferments will hopefully inspire and showcase the inventive ways to incorporate fermented foods into cooking.

About Ali Pumfrey, Chef and business owner of A.P. Chef

Ali Pumfrey, a seasoned food educator, recipe developer, and chef, and has been running her own catering business A.P. Chef, based in the Southwest for 7 years. Trained at Leith’s and with roots in prestigious London kitchens like Andrew Edmunds, River Café, and Padella, Ali’s culinary philosophy emphasizes seasonal, exceptional produce and inventive dishes that soak up the flavours of the environment. With qualifications in nutrition and a commitment to sourcing ingredients responsibly, Ali crafts vibrant, veg-centric menus for wellbeing retreats, events, and brands that share her values. Additionally, as the Marketing Chef for Yeo Valley and collaborating with various brands like Vogue Magazine and Seed and Bean Chocolate, Ali’s versatility shines through exclusive recipes and cookery demonstrations. Beyond the kitchen, she’s a passionate community builder, orchestrating events that advocate for regenerative farming. Ali ensures every plate from A.P. Chef not only delivers superior nutrition but also contributes to biodiversity and soil health.


Can you cater for dietary requirements?

Please provide your dietary requirements upon booking. A.P.Chef likes to be inclusive with all of our events so we are delighted to cater for vegans and allergen requirements, but please do let us know in advance. If we don’t hear in advance, we will assume you have no dietary requirements.

What can I expect?

  • Arrival from 7pm where you can purchase drinks from Better Food (at retail prices!) for the evening
  • 7.30pm A short welcome for guests and The Feast Begins

What is the seating plan?

There will be x2 long tables. We do the seating plan and so that all group bookings sit together. If you haven’t booked as a group but would like to sit with your friends then please email and we will take care of your request.
