What to buy at Better Food: Kombucha, sauerkraut and kimchi. We stock the majority of Bath Culture House’s range, from seaweed sauerkraut to broccoli kimchi, and turmeric and ginger kombucha – to mention a few. Their whole range is raw and unpasteurised, so you’ll find them in our fridges.
Mission and Values: Bath Culture House’s mission is simply to help others look after themselves by enjoying their naturally made fermented food and drink. Founding Director, Lucie, studied Biology at Bath University before working as a food tech manager for various food brands in Cornwall. Craving a change from the corporate world, she gave up her well-paid job and started brewing kombucha from her Bath kitchen in 2016, and Bath Culture House was born.
Lucie’s dream was always to combine her inner geek with her love of cooking and producing tummy loving live foods. She is proud that her dream is now a reality.
Location: The Old Saw Mill, Ubley, Somerset (13 miles to Better Food)
We love it because… they take fresh ingredients and use their in-house recipes to turn them into beacons of bacteria in small batches. The products are hand-made, never pasteurised and never contain commercially-made cultures. It’s all authentic and natural, and not to mention, delicious!
