Our community support
Better Food is committed to supporting the vibrant community of Bristol. We believe in the power of good food to nourish both bodies and communities, so we’re pleased to support local organisations making a difference.
How we support local initiatives
Prize vouchers: Gift vouchers for use in our stores and cafes, perfect for raffles.
Donations of products: Organic, local, and ethical ingredients or products for community meals or to support educational projects.
Events: Free event space in our cafes for you to run community groups, fundraising or events.
Volunteering: Our team members benefit from one paid volunteer day per year. We’re happy to share any volunteering opportunities for them to consider.
Prioritising local and food-focused initiatives
While we appreciate all the incredible work being done, we prioritise causes that are based in and directly benefit the Bristol area as well as organisations that are making a positive impact through food. Whether that’s through food banks, community kitchens, growing projects, or food education programs.
How to request a donation from Better Food
We’re always excited to learn about new projects and organisations making a difference in Bristol. If you believe your cause aligns with our community focus, please get in touch. To ensure we can effectively evaluate your request, please include the following information in your email to marketing@betterfood.co.uk:
- Name and details of your cause
- Details of what type of donation you are seeking
- Please specify the dates of your event or project, and any deadlines associated with your request
We receive a high volume of requests, especially around Christmas, and while we do our best to support as many initiatives as we can, it may not be possible to fulfil every request.
Some highlights from 2024

- We’ve continued to donate veg boxes to Redcliffe Nursery School & Children’s Centre and Aid Box Community.
- Our teams used their volunteer days to support causes close to them, including, breastfeeding peer support, community farms, community cafes and food banks, totalling over 60 hours.
