Raising awareness on menopause month
Let’s talk about menopause. October is World Menopause Month, as designated by the World Health Organisation and the International Menopause society.
It is great to see the recent efforts with organisations and celebrities taking to platforms and raising awareness of the mental and physical challenges of menopause.
From Davina McCall’s series, Sex, Myths and the Menopause bringing new research on HRT to light, to fast fashion companies such as Primark launching a range of nightwear and base layers using anti-flush technology, open conversation about menopause is finally receiving encouragement and support.
The experiences of perimenopause and menopause are different for every individual, with some undergoing huge disruption in their lives.
If menopause can lead to ongoing physical and mental symptoms then this can impact our overall sense of wellbeing. At Better Food, we recognise the importance of open discussion about menopause. Learn more about our hand-picked products, below.
